Eze is split into two parts ; the village of Eze, and Eze-sur-mer. The medieval village of Eze is steeped in history, with incredible panoramas over the Cote d’Azur. Eze Village, a village very characteristic of the South of France, sits perched atop a cliff high above the sea front. Visitors strolling through the cobbled streets of Eze will find little boutiques, nice galleries, and charming cafes.
Down below, we have Eze-sur-mer, the part of the town that sits right next to the sea. Here you will find beautiful beaches, and excellent restaurants with fine regional cuisine. Nestled between the sea and the mountain range, Eze really is a must-see spot.
Renting a car in Eze is the easiest way to go to this village. Visitors can take a train to Eze-sur-mer, and hike up a steep trail to the village of Eze. For those who are feeling less adventurous, or when the weather is not up to it, a car rental is indeed one of the only ways to access the villages, particularly in the evenings. Any model of car is available for you, ranging from 4x4s, to people carriers, to electric cars; take your pick!
